CPAS Patronage Development Officer
Involved in patronage for more than a century, CPAS is now the largest patron in the Church of England with parishes in every diocese and context. Patronage offers the huge privilege of serving parishes in collaboration with their diocese as they seek their next leader – by which Christ continues to renew his local church’s mission and ministry.
In a time of considerable change and uncertainty we are looking for a colleague to help us strengthen our core work, engage with national conversations and deepen our relationship with our patronage clergy and congregations.
In this high-profile role, you will be relating both to senior leaders within the dioceses and with clergy as they lead parishes and apply for new positions. You will need highly developed people skills and emotional intelligence, strong leadership wisdom and insight, and the ability to work meticulously with process and detail. You are likely to be a well thought out and articulate minister committed to orthodox evangelical theology but able to work well in the changing context of the Church of England.
As women are currently underrepresented in our team, we would particularly welcome enquiries and applications from female as well as male candidates.

St Giles Church Exhall: Growing Faith Family Link Worker
£16848 + pension scheme (24 hours per week)(including some evening and weekend work with possible flexible working arrangement)
The ability for the Church of England in its schools and churches to grow the Christian faith in families is key to the evangelisation of the country. The Growing Faith initiative envisions children, young people and households coming to faith, growing in discipleship and contributing confidently to the Kingdom of God through the community of faith.
The role of the Growing Faith Family Link Worker is to provide the dedicated time and professional input that are essential if we are to be successful in Growing Faith. With a focus on collaborative working with primary schools in our parish, this role will enable and facilitate the growth of faith in children and families, building strategic and fruitful links between church, home and school.
This role has a strong pioneering thread running through it, by which we mean being the first to lead ministry and initiatives into new places for and with others. Pioneers are people able to see a new future, and have the skills and gifts needed to make that a reality.
We are seeking to recruit a Growing Faith Family Link Worker who has:
-
a vibrant Christian faith
-
a passion for enabling children, young people and families to grow in faith
-
a desire to see schools, churches and families working together to transform and bless their communities.
The post holder should have experience of working with youth/children’s work in a paid or voluntary capacity, experience of supporting families, excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of audiences, including children, parents, teachers and governing bodies.
Our Growing Faith Family Link Worker would be based at St Giles Church, Exhall, liaising and working with the various primary schools in our parish.
