We have produced local resources to use alongside CofE publications and web-based resources.
This is part of our commitment to implement measures that will support Net Zero emissions.
The resources include:
- Locally available training aimed at introducing you to the basics of the climate crisis. In 2026, we're delivering the course at the invitation of local churches who are willing to invite people from their neighbouring parishes and churches.
- Local Case Studies describing what some churches and a school have introduced to reduce energy use and carbon emissions (e.g. Heating, glazing, insulation).
- A Net Zero Resource Document that describes options for churches wanting to research and apply practical measures to reduce their carbon emissions.
- A Householder’s Guide which we produced this with help from the Eco group at Holy Trinity Church, Coventry.
-
Sustainable Heritage - Navigating the Path to Net Zero. Written as a Layperson's Guide, this represents views and experiences from Chris Rigden's work at All Saints Church, Bedworth. These include achieving a rooftop Solar PV array and researching decarbonised heating options. The guide will be valuable for our local churches. If you have queries arising from the guide, please address these to eco@bedworthparish.org
- Grant funding to help with energy saving measures and emissions reductions.
- guidance for completing the Energy Footprint Tool.
We consider that the most helpful CofE Net Zero resources include:
- The Church of England’s Routemap to Net Zero Carbon.
- The Practical Path to Net Zero for church buildings.
- The landing pages for net zero carbon churches and net zero carbon schools, and CofE net zero webinar programme to help you on that path.
- A Glossary of Net Zero and Climate Change terms
- Heating guidance, temporary heating ideas and energy efficiency guidance.
- There are also inspiring (national) Net Zero case studies.
