Privacy settings

Our Contact Management System (CMS) holds contact details for selected church officers within our parishes, deaneries and diocese.  It also contains the privacy settings that determine whether these details are published in our Diocesan Directory.

Diocesan Directory

Before the end of the year, we aim to publish a searchable list of clergy on the diocesan website.

This list is already available via the National Register of Clergy.  However, our own Public Directory will also include the contact details of individuals who have given their consent (see below).

We will also then look to expand this to include lay officers, again where consent has been given.

Privacy settings

Privacy settings are stored within our Contact Management System (CMS).  Each postal address, phone number or email address has its own privacy setting, and this setting determines where the information is published.

There are three options:

  • PUBLIC means that consent is given for it to be published in our online Diocesan Directory.
  • DIOCESE means that consent is given for it for it to be shared with anyone who has a role within the Diocese of Coventry.
  • PRIVATE means that it will only be shared with diocesan staff and a few other authorised users.

We routinely ask church officers to check and update their contact details and privacy settings in the CMS.  Changes can also be made at any time by contacting Mark.Seabourne@Coventry.Anglican.org
