Generosity lies at the heart of our faith, reflecting the love of God and enabling local churches to serve their communities, maintain worship and pastoral care, and support mission locally and beyond. The Diocese of Coventry supports generosity through two complementary frameworks:
MINT – Mechanisms, Impact, Need, Trust
Helps make giving easy and meaningful, showing how contributions make a difference.
IDEA – Inspire, Discipleship, Embed, Activate
Encourages a culture of generosity rooted in discipleship and lived out in everyday church life.
Simon Jones – Diocesan Stewardship Advisor
Leads on the practical side of giving, helping churches offer a variety of giving options, communicate the impact of gifts, explain the need for giving, and encourage good stewardship practices.

Generosity Resources
Every church is at a different stage in its generosity journey. Our range of resources reflects those differences. Explore below and in the side menu.
- The Generosity Report 2026 is a detailed review on generosity in the church.
- The Generous Church Review is a detailed ‘deep dive’ and requires time and commitment.
- By contrast the Generous Church Check-up is more of a snapshot – some churches like to do it every year to take their pulse on this important area.
- The Generosity Fika takes half a day and is aimed at any small group – home group, PCC or any other interested parties. It is helpful in identifying strengths and areas of improvement.
- Generosity Week happens every year in September and is supported by the national church.
- The eight Living Generously films and Study Guides are ideal for small groups.
