As part of the support available from the central team for parishes we have a friendly and professional finance team dedicated to helping our churches and stewarding our finances well. The diocesan finance team handles all matters of finance, and some areas of diocesan administration and governance. This includes:
- Collecting parish shares, and calculating the next year’s deanery shares
- Paying invoices and expenses
- Budgeting, and annual statutory and management accounts
- All aspects of clergy stipends, staff salaries, and pensions
- Queries from, and advice to, parishes on parochial finance matters
- Supporting Diocesan Synod, and some other committees
- Administering parochial returns and statistics
- Church Representation Rules queries
