The first ever Coventry Youth City Praise and Prayer is taking place on Friday 19th April from 7 to 9.30pm at Elim Church, Coventry.
This event has grown out of a desire from youth leaders, church leaders and young people themselves to gather to worship Jesus and is an extension of the very successful bi-annual ecumenical City Praise and Prayer events that have been running for a decade.
The planning team, including youth leaders, young people, and HOPE Coventry, are really looking forward to spending the evening with young people to raise the name of Jesus high amongst the youth of the city, to pray together for their schools and communities and to be emboldened as they connect with others in their generation serving the kingdom of God.
Young people have been heavily involved in the planning of the evening and will be involved in leading both prayer and worship on the night.
The event is aimed at secondary school aged young people (aged 11 to 18).
