Simon Danks the current Chair of Coventry Diocesan Board of Finance (DBF) will become the Chief Operating Officer of Coventry Cathedral.
Firstly, we wish to congratulate Simon on his new appointment and are confident he will be an excellent addition to the cathedral team as they continue their significant ministry in the Diocese of Coventry.
We also wish to thank Simon for all the work he has done whilst being the Chair of the DBF, he has operated with excellence and skill during his time with us and we will miss him.

He has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge in his role as Chair, overseeing our financial and administrative affairs and complex committee structure, guiding us through the budgeting process and the development of a long-range financial plan, and acting as a critical friend and support to both myself and the diocesan office team. I am delighted he won’t be moving too far away and very much look forward to continuing to work with him as colleague within the diocesan family.”
Simon will be standing down from his role as Chair of the Coventry DBF to take up his new appointment. Succession arrangements are currently being discussed and further details will be shared in due course. In the meantime, Simon will continue to offer support in an advisory capacity during this transitional period.
