Our network of Deanery Environmental Representatives [DER] are able to support local churches on their journey towards respecting the environment, boosting biodiversity and reducing carbon emissions. If you want to advance your local church's progress with Eco Church accreditation, you can contact your DER for ideas and support. Parish Administrators can access their contact details via CMS.
We have a few deaneries who are currently without DERs. We've also enabled volunteers to assist current DERs and increase our capacity to effect change.
Training and resources will be available for the people we accept for the role. Your enthusiasm and your offer of some free time are unique attributes that will enable you to work really well alongside others and see progress.
