Public Transport

You can travel to us via public transport and below are a few ways you may wish to do this. The Transport for West Midlands website is a useful tool to help you find which ticket you need and plan your journey to us via public transport.

Train Services

Coventry Station is a 15 minute walk from the Diocesan Offices and is a regular station call for many services. Trains from Birmingham and London call around every 15 minutes. This will depend on the train operator, so it is helpful to check National Rail for real-time departures, tickets and journey planning.

There is also a West Midlands Railway service which calls at Coventry, hourly. You can check its and other departure times for their services at West Midlands Railway.

If you are travelling to us from outside the West Midlands, National Rail can help plan your journey too.

Train Tickets

Tickets can be bought online or via ticket offices at stations. National Rail and Trainsplit offer online ticket purchasing. Trainsplit also offers 'split-ticketing' which can help save money on fares. When purchasing any tickets, be mindful of their terms and conditions.

PlusBus

If you need to catch a bus as part of your journey to or from a station, PlusBus can provide discounted bus travel when added on to train tickets.

Bus Services

Pool Meadow Bus Station is located a 5 minute walk from the Diocesan Offices and provides services across the city and beyond, including national coach travel.

Services are operated by National Express and Stagecoach - see their websites for the latest travel information, journey planning and tickets.

Cycling

Travelling to us by bike is a great way to be more active.

For example, if you are coming to us from the east of the city, Binley Cycle Way is a beginner friendly urban cycle route you may use. There are many other segregated cycleways you can use to get to us.

When you arrive at the Offices, you may secure your bicycle in the garden at the rear of the building. To find this, go down Hilltop (see picture) until you find metal gates on your left. Look for signage directing you to the Diocesan Offices.

Walking

The Diocean Offices are a short distance from local amenities, including:

  • Pool Meadow Bus Station - 5 minutes
  • City Centre - 5 minutes
  • Coventry Train Station - 15 minutes
  • Bishop's House - 20 minutes

Parking

Access to the Diocesan Office is by appointment only and may be arranged via the relevant contact.

Please note that we have limited parking spaces and these are usually designated to staff members. If you require a space, this must be arranged with your contact with as much notice as possible and are not guaranteed. There are numerous parking options in the city centre.

There are public, accessible parking bays on Cuckoo Lane, approximately 1 minute from the Diocesan Office. However, please note that vehicular access is restricted by Coventry City Council between 10am and 6pm and unauthorised access may result in fines. Please visit this link for more information. It is recommended to speak to your Diocesan Office contact about arranging a temporary permit should you need to arrive between these times.
