In this section of our website you will find lots of helpful infomation about the Diocesan finances including where the money comes from, how it is spent, the budget and how parish share works.
The Diocese of Coventry is the Church of England in Coventry, Warwickshire and a small part of Solihull. With a growing worshipping community of over 14,000 people across our 200 parishes we are a Christian presence in every local community.
Each year, we spend circa £14m supporting the mission and ministry of the Church of England, our church schools and partners across this Diocese. This is money that has to be raised and we have a duty to spend it well.
These are challenging times, social and economic, and we are extremely grateful for the continued generosity and commitment of our congregations and all those who volunteer, serve and support their local church community. We are committed to ensuring the resources we have are used efficiently, effectively and responsibly.
Despite the challenging financial landscape nationally and with the rising cost of living significantly affecting households, the Diocese of Coventry continues to be as generous as it can be. A Parish Share commitment of £5.2m for 2025 contributes to the overall diocesan budget. However, despite this ongoing spirit of generosity, Parish Share will not cover the full cost of ministry in 2025 along with its various activities and support from the central team.
