HRH Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, visited St Mary's, Warwick on Saturday as part of The Queen's Royal Hussars parade through Warwick town centre after the regiment was granted the Freedom of Warwick.
The Duke of Edinburgh is Colonel-in-Chief of the Queen's Royal Hussars. Crowds gathered throughout the town centre as soldiers of The Queen's Royal Hussars marched through Warwick's historic streets, saluting the Duke as they went past.

The event culminated at the Collegiate Church of St Mary, one of Warwick's most treasured historic landmarks. Upon arriving at St Mary's Church, the Duke was welcomed by local dignitaries and Rector of St Mary's, Canon Angus Aagaard, before beginning a tour of the Grade I-listed building.
Canon Angus said:
"It was a pleasure to welcome HRH The Duke of Edinburgh to St Mary’s Church on Saturday afternoon. It was a lovely moment for the Church as Warwick came together to celebrate the Queen’s Royal Hussars being granted the Freedom of the Town."
