Nominate your CYPF Ministers to be celebrated as part of RECOGNISE 2026

RECOGNISE (6-12 July 2026) is a national week of recognition for everyone involved in ministry with children, young people, and their families (CYPF Ministers for short).

As part of RECOGNISE 2026, Coventry Diocese have been given the opportunity to select three CYPF Ministers (paid or volunteer) to be invited to an event at Lambeth Palace to celebrate their contributions!

There are so many individuals giving tirelessly to nurture the faith of the emerging generations. To help us select those who will be invited to the Lambeth Palace event, we are asking parishes to tell us about the volunteer or paid worker whose contribution to CYPF ministry they particularly want to RECOGNISE.

Please use the form here to let us know who you would like to nominate, and to tell use why their contribution is particularly valued by you and your parish. Nominations close at 23:59 on the 24 May. Three nominees will be selected and contacted in the week beginning 25 May.

Celebrating all of our volunteer and paid Lay Ministers

We think all of our CYPF Ministers are amazing, and would love to send them all to Lambeth Palace to be celebrated, however, we have only been allotted three tickets. In order to celebrate our CYPF ministers locally, all of those who are nominated will be sent an invite to the ‘Celebration of Lay Ministry’ at Coventry Cathedral which will be held on Saturday 5 September.

Host your own celebration!

The good news is, if you’re CYPF Minister is not one of the three chosen to go to the Lambeth Palace event, you don’t have to wait until September to celebrate them! On Sunday 12 July 2026 churches nationwide are being encouraged to host their own RECOGNISE event.

The idea is to bake (or buy) a cake, and put aside some time in your Sunday service to pray for and celebrate those who volunteer and work with children, young people and their families in your parish.

You can sign up to receive a FREE pack  which includes a cake topper prayer card a set of thankyou cards, and some creative ideas from your event.

It would be great to share in your celebrations, so if you post any photos or video to social media, please use the hashtag #RECOGNISE2026
