Safer recruitment training

Finding and recruiting the right people to work with children and adults experiencing, or at risk of, abuse or neglect can be difficult. It is important that parishes recruit and appoint appropriate people as employees or volunteers. This course will equip participants with knowledge of Church of England legislation, policies, and practise guidance for safer recruitment.

This module is for:

  • Clergy
  • Parish Safeguarding Officers
  • Any others responsible for safely recruiting staff and volunteers

  • Safer Recruitment for volunteers and paid staff
  • The nine steps of Safer Recruitment
  • DBS eligibility
