Free Harvest Festival pack for churches
Self Help Africa’s thought-provoking harvest pack ‘Powers of Nature’ has an inspirational, fresh approach focusing on the church’s responsibility to serve the poor by preserving the natural environment. The pack shows how the changing climate is affecting the harvests of rural families of Africa, and how Self Help Africa is equipping them with the skills and tools they need to cope with these conditions. The pack contains everything you need for a successful Harvest festival including hymns, sermon ideas, prayers and much more.
You can order your free pack by emailing harvest@selfhelpafrica.net or by calling 01743 277170. (see attachment on the Coventry website hhtp: www.coventry.anglican.org/news/surgeoftheseeflyers)
Pilgrimage to Lindisfarne
There will be a pilgrimage to Lindisfarne from 15th to 21st June 2009 (Monday - Sunday)
There are still a few spaces on this pilgrimage. We have full board accommodation at Marygate House for which there is no set charge. The community invite people to donate what they can afford suggesting that £29 a day would cover their costs. The programme is very relaxed giving plenty of time to experience this beautiful island.
