|'Surviving Winter' Appeal||14th Oct 2011 | Download | Email to a Friend|
5.4 million households across the UK are living in fuel poverty and almost half of those are aged over 60. With rising fuel bills and the prospect of another cold winter, many older and vulnerable people in Coventry and Warwickshire are at risk of health issues directly attibutable to living in poorly heated homes.
Community Foundations all over the UK are co-ordinating this campaign. The aim of the appeal is to raise £1million across the UK to support the elderly and the vulnerable, and the money raised will be targeted directly to help those locally who struggle to stay safe through the winter.
