Reference to the Diocesan Synods
The General Synod has asked all of the Diocesan Synods to vote on whether the Church of England should adopt the Anglican Covenant.
The Coventry Diocesan Synod received a presentation on the development of the Covenant at its meeting on 5 November 2011. (For a copy of the presentation given, please click here.) The Synod will be asked to vote on the Covenant at its meeting on 10 March 2012. The motion which will be put to the Synod is:
‘That this Synod approve the draft Act of Synod adopting the Anglican Communion Covenant.’
