actually the work needs to reinvent itself and probably that is best achieved with me out of it. As an individual I want to be associated with success (I guess that's natural) but sometimes we need to let others take on the reigns. I've decided to not do Coventry Youth Camp this year for that very reason and it will be hard, however it is vitally important for us all to realise that God can actually do it without us!
I Hope you had a great Easter, the following may be of some interest...
Iain Bruce (Rugby YFC) has been in touch to share the following exciting news with us all...
Tony Campolo speaking in Rugby
I thought I would give you the heads up on an event we have going on that might be of interest, on May 5th at St Matt's Rugby starting at 7 . We have Tony Campolo speaking. The event will have the elevate band playing Roy Crowne part hosting and is focusing on the hope 08 theme, Tony is also very keen to preach the Gospel so it should be a brill evening . It is bank holiday Monday but it also is Tony Campolo!!!. If you could help spread the word around I'm sure people won't be disappointed.

First Sunday Youth Event - Leamington Spa
First Sunday is a monthly youth worship event where there is time and space to worship God in the company of other young people from around the area! There is live worship and a word from God. This year the team want to focus on their local community's and make a impact in Leamington Spa! First Sunday is aimed at teenagers but is suited to people of any age who want to worship God :) It happens on the first Sunday of each month at 8pm in Leamington Spa Baptist Church. The next event will take place on April 6th with the theme of Everything" And Jemima Howe will be speaking. Her talk will be based around a drama on a site called GodTube. It is pretty well known but so effective and thought > provoking. Just what First Sunday needs me thinks!
Coventry Youth Camp 2008
This camp will be running from Monday 25th -Saturday 30th August 2008. Now in it's 13th year Camp is moving to new strengths. With a change of venue, Youth Camp is all set to be a fantastic week of fun, fellowship, community and God. At the Launch Party the new venue was announced: OSWESTRY SCHOOL in, guess where, Oswestry. We are all very excited about the new venue; check out the photos! THEME: TRANSFORMATION This year's theme is really really exciting. This year we are building upon last year's Revolution by thinking about how we sustain change in ourselves and revolution in our environments. The answer lies in Romans 12: DO NOT CONFORM TO THE PATTERNS OF THIS WORLD BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND This year we want all campers and leaders to go on a journey of which camp is one part. We want everyone to begin to think about what this means and how it works in life. Check out Romans 12 and come prepared in August to explore this together! Youth Camp 08 is open to all young people of secondary school age. Places are very limited in each age group however, so book early to avoid disappointment! For more info call Coventy Youth For Christ on 024 76 550257.
I'm off to a week long residential at College next week so the next Mail Out will be in 2 weeks time.
Happy Easter.
