Dassett Magna Youth Project

The Dassett Magna Youth Project is based at Kineton High School and covers the surrounding area of rural villages. It is an anglican/methodist youth project with a vision to 'Build Hope Togther'. Jess Bishop is the full time youth worker supported by a Careforce Volunteer Alfie Wright. We run Youth Alpha, Christian Unions, Youth Cell, SOKHS (Space out at Kineton High School) - a multi-agency youth drop in, Youth services, Youth work breakfasts with SWYN (South Warwickshire Youth Network), anti-bullying groups, drugs awareness groups and mentoring. DMYP also supports rural youth groups in the villages, with an aim that they can run independently. We also work in four primary schools, the high school, 6 anglican churches and a plethora of methodist churches.

DMYP is such a valuable assett to these rural communities. So often young people get shipped into the city where 'it's really happening?!!' and come back to their village wondering where God is? We aim to help young people find God where they are and to realise that God has and wants passionate Christians in rural areas too.

The Coventry East Project

Andrew Roberts
Ed Baynes Clarke

My role is to work in Ernesford Grange School in the East of Coventry. I work in Partnership with the staff of the school supporting young people, imparting positive values and being there to help young people develop Spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. The school is one of the more difficult schools in Coventry. The young people need support and care. This was recognised by the local churches and so a youth worker was instated with the churches backing. You can contact me at edcanfly@hotmail.com.
