MESSY CHURCH

Messy Church is a phenomenon which has grown over the last 5 years as a means to engage whole families creatively with Christianity.  The Messy Church folk decided very early on to try to do something for all ages together, partly out of a belief that we grow best as a church when we walk the journey with as many different people as possible, and partly from a desire to help families grow together in their walk of faith, not seeing Christianity as something you grow out of when you're eleven. From these roots Messy Churches have sprung up all over the country.   Perhaps your church is already engaged in doing Messy Church, in which case we would love to hear from you and put all our Messy Churches in contact with one another, if so please contact me on: ruth.wagstaffe@covcofe.org. If you however are looking for inspiration as to how you might reach whole families then its worth checking out the Messy Church website: www.messychurch.org.uk.
