REGISTRATION OF PCCS WITH THE CHARITY COMMISSION
From this autumn PCCs with a gross income of over £100,000 will have to register with the Charity Commission.
In order to help PCCs with this process we are holding a seminar on Thursday 19th June 2008 at 7.30pm at Claverdon Church Centre, Claverdon, nr. Warwick which will be led by Dr John Preston, National Stewardship Officer for the Church of England.
If your PCC already has a gross income of £100,000 or more or is likely to in the next year or two then this seminar is for you.
Treasurers of PCCs where this is thought to be the case have been written to but if you have not received an invitation and you think that your PCC is likely to come within the registration requirements please let Philip Carver, Financial Secretary, know if you would like to attend.

HOW TO WRITE BETTER STATEMENTS OF SIGNIFICANCE
Writing a Statement of Significance can be a daunting prospect. A training event has been arranged by Divine Inspiration on Thursday 15th May at Berkswell Church from 7pm to 9.30pm when DAC Secretary, Ray Anderton will be present to answer questions, and there will be examples of good practice to examine and discuss, as well as tips regarding where to find the information required when writing a Statement of Significance.
