NEVILLE CARPMAIL

Neville Carpmail, Chief Executive of Coventry City Mission died peacefully on Sunday 9th March. Neville’s involvement with Coventry City Mission goes back twenty years during which he has played a key role in establishing the ethos and spirit of CCM.
Neville was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in September 2006.  Sadly, from the end of November, Neville’s health began to deteriorate. Early in the New Year he was admitted to hospital, where on two occasions he was thought to be leaving for “home”, including being in a coma for some hours. He subsequently regained full consciousness, and remained  comfortable and free from pain. Neville was due to retire as Chief Executive of CCM on March 31st 2008.
Please pray for Rosalie his wife and the rest of the family. Please also pray for CCM and for their future leadership and development.

NEW BISHOP OF COVENTRY

Bishop John writes:
“Thank you so much for your support for Christopher Cocksworth on Monday. He was very moved and encouraged by the day, and by the people he met. Christopher appreciated his visit enormously.
It is very important that none of us puts pressure on Christopher, or his PA, before he joins us later in the year.  As you will understand, he has an extremely busy job as Principal of Ridley, and we must now allow him to devote time and energy to that job as he makes preparations to leave.
Meanwhile, any enquiries regarding Christopher need to be addressed through Christine Camfield at Bishop's House, although I should add that we are not yet in a position to agree any firm bookings for his diary and probably won't be able to do so until the autumn.”

FRIENDLY BRITAIN

On the 2nd of April 2008 shun unfriendly behaviour, become an activist of change and (1) smile at everyone you make eye contact with (if they smile back, say 'Hi' or if they are a long way from you give them a wave) and (2) ask 'how do you do?' to people you walk past or sit next to. If they reply, go mad and ask them how their day is going.
Let's go crazy and show an interest in our fellow Britons!

BETTER THAN BABY EINSTEIN

As a parent you want your child to grow up and to be healthy, smart, and happy and you seek every advantage to give your child a leg up in this direction. Though while these are goods in themselves you also realize that your most important job as a parent is to help your child get to Heaven. Sin makes you stupid and holiness makes you smart and joyful even in difficult situations.
Though you wonder how best can you help hour child to grow in the Lord and in the Path of holiness? It seems there are so many tools and activities for kids for a range of topics that offer everything except what is most important and the pearl of great price.
That is where our new company Baby Augustine steps in and "Where Holiness Begins." Baby Augustine offers a plethora of holiness developmentally appropriate products for babies and toddlers.

Have a great (Passiontide) week!

With best wishes
