Fresh Expressions
A fresh expression is a form of church for our changing culture established primarily for the benefit of people who are not yet members of any church.
- It will come into being through principles of listening, service, incarnational mission and making disciples.
- It will have the potential to become a mature expression of church shaped by the gospel and the enduring marks of the church and for its cultural context.

Mission Shaped Ministry
The Mission-shaped Ministry Course (from Fresh Expressions) is to be made available in the Midlands to train God's people further in mission. The course is co-sponsored by the dioceses of Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester and Peterborough along with the Methodist districts of Birmingham and Northampton. The course has a particular focus on the development of new areas of outreach that engages those outside the reach of traditional church.
The course is designed for laity, clergy and for all trained church leaders. Some may already be involved in a fresh expression of church, others committed to exploring the idea.
The course begins on Saturday 12 April 2008 and consists of a further two Saturdays and seven Monday evenings (held in Rugby) as well as a weekend away. The whole course lasts a year and costs £300. The cost of the course has been heavily subsidised this year and subsequent courses will have to charge a much higher fee.
