1. Approved List of Architects and Surveyors
Under the Inspection of Churches Measure 1955, only those Architects and Surveyors approved by the DAC can undertake the Quinquennial Inspection of a church.
N.B. The Approval of Architects and Surveyors is personal not corporate and the Quinquennial inspection cannot be delegated to another architect from the Approved Architect's practice.
2. Applying to join the Approved List of Architects and Surveyors
The Approved List is renewed every five years. This was last done in 2006 and so the current list will expire in 2010.
Below are the DAC's Policy Statement on the Approval of Architects and Surveyors together with the application form for use by new Architects and Surveyors wishing to join the Approved List.
